Witnessing History with Innovative Signage: ATG Proudly Supplies LEXAN™ for Cairo's Record-Breaking Monorail

The monumental Cairo Monorail project, destined to be the world's longest driverless monorail system upon completion, is set to revolutionize transportation in the region. ATG is honoured to be a part of this historic endeavour, providing the station signage crafted from LEXAN™ EXTRITE™ sheets.

LEXAN™ EXTRITE™ is more than just a transparent material. These polycarbonate sheets boast exceptional weather resistance thanks to UV protection on both sides. Their impressive impact and scratch resistance make them ideal for demanding construction applications.

This innovative material caters specifically to environments requiring high abrasion, scratch, and weather resistance. LEXAN™ polycarbonate's inherent properties are further enhanced by a protective layer, resulting in superior chemical and UV resistance.

With an exceptional light transmission of 87-90%, transparent LEXAN™ EXTRITE™ sheets are perfect for buildings in harsh climates or those with south-facing aspects. Furthermore, these sheets boast a remarkable lifespan of at least 30 years, backed by a 15-year limited warranty.

Beyond its role in the signage, the Cairo Monorail itself represents a significant leap forward. This record-breaking system promises fast, sustainable, comfortable, and safe transportation, with a capacity of 45,000 passengers per hour in each direction. ATG is proud to contribute to this groundbreaking project with cutting-edge materials like LEXAN™ EXTRITE™.
